Nepal Police School, Sanga, Kavre is one of the highly reputed schools in all over the country. It is not only famous for its sports events but also because of the demand for a high qualitative education system. On one hand our country's well fascinated schools are still running in the traditional system to evaluate student's standards. On the other hand, NPS is updating the system by including CAS, which is totally different and especially designed in the student student-centered method. It evaluates students' LSRW as well as behavior and their innate capabilities. Students are fully inspired and motivated by this practical test which only focuses on their creation. There is no place for teacher's biasness. Because even the academically weak students can score high in CAS and it shows that every child has a unique talent and only NPS is moving towards the advancement of learning by making all round development of children.

CAS is the way of grading learners in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains of learning systematically takes account of all their performances during a given period of schooling-Falayalo, 1986. It is an approach which is adopted all over the world to foster the students' learning module. In this approach teachers provide relevant feedback to their pupils according to their performance which helps them to focus on fields they have not yet mastered. Through CAS teachers easily find out the weakness and strengths of their students in teaching -learning activities, behaviors, etc.

It provides information on achievement of a particular level of skills, understanding, knowledge and attitude rather than only achievement of certain marks or scores. CAS is such a tool which helps the learners to monitor their own progress. It enhances learners' skills in various fields like reading, writing, etc. Even encourages the teachers to be up-to-date with the different varieties and methods.

CAS can be practised with certain forms or tools like self-assessment, homework, portfolio and classroom participation which collect students' task, progress and achievement systematically. Teachers should have a sound knowledge about appropriate tools for helping their students that provide a range of opportunities for students to demonstrate knowledge and skills. According to CDC, (2009, P.64) there are following tools of CAS:

1. Observation

Because of observation teachers can find out the status of the learners about what and how much they are learning. Participation, presentation and performance and creativity are the aspects measuring the learners ability that the teacher mobilizes.

 2. Self-evaluation

Learners too can evaluate themselves from their own performance. Students can do peer observation, can learn from their previous mistakes.

3. Portfolio

It is the systematic collections of our pupils' work like their way of report writing, pieces of good articles etc. where teachers can find out needed areas of the learners to be corrected.

4. Project work

It is an activity undertaken over a certain period of time and includes both individual and group work. Students present it in an oral form or written report.

5. Homework

It is a task for the students and that is given to the students in the form of reading and writing although it can be used as a preparation for classroom activities involving speaking and listening.

In crux, from these above-mentioned tools of CAS, we can bring varieties of ideas to enhance the language learning of the learners. and our school is applying CAS for maintaining the quality in the field of education.
